Our structured jazz program is based on ballet technique layer with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Dancers will work heavy on technique, flexibility, musicality, expression and execution, gradually being exposed to other jazz styles. Dancers are exposed to as many as five different styles of jazz throughout the year and have the opportunity to audition for our competitive jazz team.
Classical Ballet
Cecchetti~ French~ Vaganova~ Balanchine
Our structured ballet program offers multi-leveled classes based on the French, Vaganova, Balanchine and Cecchetti methods of ballet. We teach classical ballet fundamentals, the understanding of anatomy, terminology, dance history, and the art of teaching. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. Our top ballet students have gained acceptance into the summer intensive programs of major ballet companies throughout the country, and have been awarded high-first standings in dance competitions throughout Southern California.

Instructor’s Notes: Proper dress code for ballet is a leotard, tights, ballet shoes, and hair in a proper bun. Jazz requires jazz shoes and tight fitting, athletic clothing or leotard. If attendance falls below 3 students in a class, children may be dismissed early. Instructor and/or class schedule is subject to change without notice. Tuition is due the 1st of every month and is not pro-rated due to holidays, absences, snow days, vacation days, initial start date, or number of weeks, etc. It is a monthly fee whether a month has 5 weeks or 3 weeks.
